X-Men 3 – After Credits Clip

According to IGN Filmforce there is a special must see 30 second clip of additional footage at the end of X-Men 3: The Last Stand, after the credits. The scene is described as a “coda” for one of the main characters. I know I’ll hang around to see it.

The post-credit scene of X-Men 3 is a hospital room where a doctor walks in and the patient turns to her and says, “Hello, Moira.” She then looks disturbed and utters “Charles?” The voice of the patient is that of Charles Xavier. My theory: Check out scene 4 “A cure for mutation” and you’ll see the prof giving an ethics course. Right before he senses that they’re announcing the CURE, he is talking about the ethical decision of putting one man’s consciousness into another man’s body who is on life-support. The doctor he uses in the TV demonstration is the same woman (Moira) from the post-credit scene. So did Charles Xavier transport his consciousness into the body of that same man?
Obviously he did. The real question is when did he do this and why?
The other important point is that Moira is Charles’ ex-wife in classic X-Men mythology.

I would say that when would be just as he was being killed and the why might be … because he was being killed. Just a thought.

Ok, something to think about for you. If you were paying attention during Xavier’s lecture, you would have heard that the man in the hospital had no higher brain functions and was born that way. Why they would keep the body alive for that long is beyond me, but they wouldn’t have been able to do what they did with the story otherwise. Anyway, moving on to the next point.
Prof. X was a powerful psychic. I know this is an obvious point, but what is not mentioned is that Xavier could detach his mind and go into the Astral plain and into other people’s minds. The way that I understand it is that everyone’s mind has a door on the Astral plain and that is a way to enter their minds in the X-men universe. I am using X-men Legends 2 (video game) as my referance.
My theory is that the powerful psychic force used to destroy Prof. X detached his mind from his body and his own psychic power allowed him to travel the Astral plain and enter the other man’s body. Since there was no mind in that body, Xavier was able to take over. Any thoughts?
