Thanks to an insane amount of luck I picked up a Wii on launch day and have been having a blast; I picked up Super Monkey Ball, Zelda, and Red Steel. Zelda is as expected excellent; really it's been monopolizing 90% of my playing time, with Monkey Ball taking up another 9%.

Also I found this amusing: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/11/13

Though that could be as I tend to resemble Gabe as depicted there (I've had quite a blast swinging the remote all over creation for Wii Sports...)

I would absolutely agree with everything said about rayman. It's awesome ... and my arms are still sore from playing. I did get to play excite truck the other day and while it looks good, is a whole lot of fun, I did find the controls just a tad too sensitive but they do work very well otherwise. In about two hours of play, the two of us playing had been through all but two of the races in the highest level and creamed (finished with an S rating) most of those races with just one or two runs. Granted, this was in the standard mode, and I'm sure going through on the hard mode would take a little longer, but I don't see the single player portion of this game taking much more than 10 hours to finish. I'm sure the multiplayer options for the game will be a whole lot of fun though. I'm not sure it's worth 50 bucks, but it would be a must buy once the price comes down.
