Warcraft 3 No CD Hack

If you are anything like me, you bought Warcraft 3 many years ago and are completely fed up with having to have the CDs with you when you want to play, where you want to play. A group of friends and I play DotA every Thursday night, each of us has purchased at least one copy of the game, but we are lucky if more than one person remembers to bring their CDs. We then spend a great deal of time passing around a CD to (re)spawn games. I will suffer with this no more!
ElliotBack.com provides instructions and the hack download on his site. It appears he has been keeping up with patch versions, currently we are at 1.20e. This is an easy install and a must do for anyone playing Warcraft regularly. It works perfectly with both the original game and The Frozen Throne. There are no known problems running this on Battle.Net.
Update: On the 13th Blizzard fixed some things on BNet to prevent some some crappy script hacks. As a (intentional?) side effect the no cd crack was busted. However the brilliant Vadoff came up with a new solution. The hack is a bit more complicated and the site that hosts the download is crappy. Anyway, here’s the new one. Be sure to read the readme file.

I have a problem when I am trying to connect to Battle.net using crack: an error appears “Unable to validate game version…”. Then i did what was writen in crack info “Rename ur original war3.exe to war3.120e and copy it in ur Warcraft III directory” but problem still is. What to do?! Plz help!!! Plz reply to my e-mail cpp@freemail.lt thx.
I just started having this problem as well. I’ll post an update if I figure it out.
I heard this was due to the new thing Blizzard put in to fight the bots from spamming channels. I’ve yet to find another working crack, so if you’re able to figure it out or find another, it’d be appreciated.

I’m getting the same error now too “Unable to validata game version…”. It WAS working before long ago with this version and now suddenly is not. Blizzard made a change?

This crack is not working for Windows XP x64 Edition
It says Pigeon_Loader is a valid application, but “for a machine type that other than the current machine type”

there is a working nocd hack for bnet on gameburnworld…it replaces your FT and RoC exes but it works!
If it says “the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows apps” then you didnt rename “frozen throne.exe” to frozen.exe

This is a no-cd crack for Warcraft. You must have a valid version to begin with.
I want to play Dota with my friends and we all have the pirated cd’s. I havethe patch…the gateway editor and the games + the dota map. My friends say i need a “v1.20e crack+loader”…What is that????????And where can i get it from??????????????????????????????
Go buy real CDs. Warcraft III is very cheap now, you should own copies of the game. That said, once you have licensed official copies, the no-cd hack I describe here makes it far more convenient to play.
I re-named “Frozen Throne.exe” to “Frozen.exe” and I am getting “This program is not suitable for running MS-Dos and Windows programs.”
I deffinitely re-named the .exe…

Hi guys. first of all i own a original wc3 cd with a cd-key and the game is already installed. So i´ve downloaded the crack and wc3 started - everything perfect. BUT - my wc3 has the version 1.20c - i think “mhhkay” lets download the new patch from the internet - so i download 1.20e while watching a replay. NOW - If I run the patch it tells me that my “WAR3.exe” already is up to date and i dont have to install it…?! my question is .. did the war3.exe come with the crack? how can i fix this? my wc3 is still 1.20c and i can’t install the patch. While in the main directory for WC3,create a new notepad file from r-click menu. Enter as follows:
start war3.exe
rename war3.exe war3_h.exe
rename war3_org.exe war3.exe
Save file as “whatever.bat”,copy to your desktop. Use this to start game everytime. Create another notepad file from r-click in same dir.
Enter as follows:
rename war3.exe war3_org.exe
rename war3_h.exe war3.exe
Save file,”reverse.bat” or whatever,copy to desktop. Use this to reverse last batch run for No-cd hack over again. IMPORTANT:Only run this batch file after you finishe exiting game completely.
Explanation from last post: Ensure you have genuine “war3.exe” named as “war3_org.exe” for script to work properly. You may have to start file directly from directory as well. This whole hack is assuming you have purchased the game with valid cdkey.
Last be not least..the last two posts will ALLOW ANY USER TO PLAY WARCRAFT III FROZEN THRONE WITH NO-CD HACK WITH A VALID ENTRY TO BATTLE.NET!

just a quick work around, if you have your cds. First “back up” your cds on your HD with copywrite protection.. Next use a iso emulator that runs this iso. Because wow is such an old game the copywrite is just as old so there are a few.

if u have a piratetd cd i dont think there’s anyway to play bt so dont bother tryin unless a new patch is made which i dont think is gonna happen…..if u install the game and it says insert cd all u haftu do is find the crack and paste it into the warcraft directory.
Geesh, don’t mess with cracks. Simply get the mdf file from GameCopyworld and use Daemon tools to mount that image.
It will work for 1.20e or any future patch.

HERE IS A SOLUTION FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE ABLE TO RUN THE GAME WITH NO-CD CRACK BUT CANNOT GET INTO BNET
i saw this on another forum tested it and it works
so all u have to do is run tft with the no-cd crack, once ure in switch out and find ur war3 folder and replace the cracked war3.exe file wiht the original, then u switch back to the game and you shoudl be able to get onto bnet, the only downside is that you have to do this everytime

this is to clearify yoyo’s comment about getting into bnet
if u are able to run the game with the crack but u cant get into bnet heres wat u do
u run the game
switch out and find the folder war3 is in
RENAME ur cracked war3.exe file to sth else (u cannot replace it because it is running!!)
name the original war3.exe file back to war3.exe
switch back into tft and there u go (if u dont have the original some no-cd cracks come with them, atleast mine did)
ofcourse u must have a valid cdkey for bnet, or else ull have to move to china
ok heres how you do it.
1. Make a backup copy of war3.exe
2. Copy the No CD crack into your Warcraft 3 folder
3. Run Warcraft 3
4. Alt Tab out
5. Rename the war3.exe to something else, can be anything but don’t change the extension.
6. Copy the backup copy of war3.exe into your Warcraft 3 folder.
Your done! Half to do this everytime you play though :)

An ez way is to burn a copy of ROC wc 3 and image it using alchoal 120 or demon tools, this works 100%.
1) Unzip the nocd1.20e and place everything into your warcrat 3 folder.
2) RUn the game, at the menu screen, dont’ do anything, alt+tab or minimize wc3
3) rename war3.exe to war31.exe or xxx.exe ( YOU CAN NOT DELETE THIS FILE, DON’T TRY TO DELETEIT, WC3 IS STILL READING THIS FILE, YOU CAN RENAME IT.)
4) rename wc3.org to war3.exe
5) maximize warcraft and log onto battle net, enjoy…
6) indeed, you have to do this everytime you reload warcraft.
7) rename war3.exe to war3.org
7) locate the war3.exe file you rename eariler war31.exe or xxx.exe change it back to war3.exe
8) load warcraft and repeat step 2
If you wana bypass all these steps find a script.

Well i looked for 2 hrs for a new cd-crack and reinstalled the game 2x… But you can still access battle.net 1.21 with the same files that are posted above. All you have to do now is put: War3.exe(cracked) War3.120e and war3x no-cd 1.20e into your directory. (((((Keep the 1.21 war3.exe))))
Startup Frozen Throne and then minimize, move all the files that you just put in, into a new folder on desktop. Then put your original 1.21 war3.exe back into your warcraft III directory and enter battle.net.

on the crack that just i post out up is the no cd crack that works for bnet 2 in that rar inside r 4 file. the file named “War3TFT 121 NO-CD kenshin” is for the crack forr .bnet

Well, I scanned and tested the crack, and it works.
Easy instructions for using it:
1) Open the archive (1.21nocd.rar)
2) Go to your WC3 install folder (usually C:\Program Files\Warcraft III)
3) Rename war3.exe to anything (like war32.exe or something)
4) Rename worldedit.exe to anything (like worldedit2.exe)
5) Extract(copy) the files War3.121, War3.exe, War3TFT 121 NO-CD kenshin.cmd, and worldedit.exe from the archive to your WC3 folder.
6) To play the game on B.Net, run the file “War3TFT 121 NO-CD kenshin.cmd” and enjoy
Actually, I’m using an online client similar to Hamachi to play Warcraft but it requires use of the War3.exe file. With this crack I can only run the Frozen Throne.exe file, the War3.exe file doesn’t run, does anyone have a patch that DOES run?

Hi Livae - I know it’s probably too late, but just rename the .cmd file to a .bat file.
You can also copy the file and then replace “Frozen Throne.exe” references with “Warcraft III” to use it on the ROC version as well - works for me.
gjyshi - I followed your instructions word for word, but I keep getting some bullshit about not being able to find odinal 570 in the storm.dll. Any ideas?

Wait wait wait, this was all about getting Reign of Chaos working with a no-cd hack… I got it working, and that’s all fine and dandy. But Battle Net doesn’t run, but that’s cool. 1 Player is fun enough. But then you guys started going on about a way to get Battle Net to run… But what you guys didn’t catch onto was that you’re giving a way for Frozen Throne to work, not Reign of Chaos, which is what this topic was about in the first place. Now, if you guys wouldn’t mind helping me with getting Reign of Chaos fully fuctional with Battle Net working and all that, I’d appreciate the help. Not downinging the ones who helped the others, though, it’s good to see someone’s figuring stuff out. But anyways, Reign of Chaos, the original game, any ideas or links for a better No-CD hack?

Juan, you probably downloaded the wrong file. The one I’m using has no trojan, and I checked it many times over, before and after unrar-ing it. I’ve been using it ever since and my WC3 still works fine, no problems, my CD-Key is fine, works on BNet, and I have no Trojans/Virus’ on my computer.

I just fixed mine by going to game copy world .com , just dont do the spaces though and do what it says and u’ll be fine…there are ways for roc and ft so ya

my problem is when i patched up my warcraft 3 FT to version 1.21, i can’t play and it required the cd…
so i downloaded a no cd patch and i got through…i was ecstatic as everthing works fine BUT…
when i clicked on LAN…it says could not connect to network!!!…so much of getting things rite!!!…

Juan, the link you posted leads nowhere for me. I really need the cd crack too, because like Daniel, my cd was destroyed. I played FT so much, a crack developed in the center of the CD, eventually leading to it exploding inside my computer and ruining my disk drive. I’m on my second legitimate copy of FT, so I need a way to copy it or get no-CD hack so it won’t happen again.

Once i got a pirated cd of wc3 both reign of chaos and frozen throne that has all DotA maps including the AI ones–
and there is a no cd-crack included!

i managed to get no-cd crack workin by transfering it to original warcraft 3 file which has storm.dll
but b.net doesnt work
install warcraft with the real battle chest
then go to frozen throne
click on the battle net and let it download the update
after that put the no-cd loader in the warcraft3 folder and install it
after that replace your desktop warcraft original icon with the ones given in the loader
and off u go n play~~~~~~~

This is the working no-cd crack. Please read the instructions carefully.
You need winrar to extract the files.
1. Copy all files into “C:\Program Files\Warcraft III”.
2. Rename your “Frozen Throne.exe” to “Frozen.exe”.
3. Launch PIGON_LOADER.exe and enjoy!

NOTE: you do not NEED to use this specific no-cd crack, i just included a link for those of you that do not have one, as long as you have the original war3.exe file you can substitute that in for the war3.exe i use in this tutorial, and the same thing goes for the no-cd version of war3.exe.
but thats not the end of it if you want to play on b.net or on a LAN (not sure about LAN but i figure it cant hurt you)
ignore the install program that comes with this
go to the folder after you have extracted it and go into the “original files” folder.
Next rename the war3.exe to war3_org.exe and copy it to the main WC3 folder.
now go to the “Files” folder and copy war3.exe to your main WC3 folder and allow it to overwrite the file.
now you start up WC3 with the war3.exe you just placed in the main folder.
next alt+tab out and go back to the folder, rename war3.exe to war3_h.exe.
Now then rename war3_org.exe to war3.exe (sometimes you may have to leave out the “.exe” for it to work correctly).
now go back into Warcraft III and connect to b.net, if done correctly it will work.
NOTE: this works for all install types, including those who copy+paste the files to install it to a computer when you cannot install normally (people like me ^^).
