Warcraft 3 No CD Hack

If you are anything like me, you bought Warcraft 3 many years ago and are completely fed up with having to have the CDs with you when you want to play, where you want to play. A group of friends and I play DotA every Thursday night, each of us has purchased at least one copy of the game, but we are lucky if more than one person remembers to bring their CDs. We then spend a great deal of time passing around a CD to (re)spawn games. I will suffer with this no more!

ElliotBack.com provides instructions and the hack download on his site. It appears he has been keeping up with patch versions, currently we are at 1.20e. This is an easy install and a must do for anyone playing Warcraft regularly. It works perfectly with both the original game and The Frozen Throne. There are no known problems running this on Battle.Net.

Update: On the 13th Blizzard fixed some things on BNet to prevent some some crappy script hacks. As a (intentional?) side effect the no cd crack was busted. However the brilliant Vadoff came up with a new solution. The hack is a bit more complicated and the site that hosts the download is crappy. Anyway, here’s the new one. Be sure to read the readme file.

    Since yall helped me out, might as well help you out aye? Well i looked for 2 hrs for a new cd-crack and reinstalled the game 2x… But you can still access battle.net 1.21 with the same files that are posted above. All you have to do now is put: War3.exe(cracked) War3.120e and war3x no-cd 1.20e into your directory. (((((Keep the 1.21 war3.exe))))
    Startup Frozen Throne and then minimize, move all the files that you just put in, into a new folder on desktop. Then put your original 1.21 war3.exe back into your warcraft III directory and enter battle.net.

    first, download pigon from the link below,
    66.199.232.155/pcgamefixes/WARCRAFT.3.THE.FROZEN.THRONE.V1.18A.ENG.PIGON.BNLOADER.ZIP
    after u hav downloaded this file unzip it in ur Warcraft III folder. MAKE SURE UR WARCRAFT III FOLDER IS INSIDE YOUR PROGRAM FILES.
    next drag the files out of the folder created when unzipped.
    NOTE:
    YOU DO NOT NEED A NO CD HACK FOR 1.21

    to play simply click on PIGON_LOADER.EXE.
    it will automatically patch your version to 1.21 too.
    enjoy =)

    i hvae only war3.exe, wc3.org and War3TFT_120e_121a_English.exe these files….

    i cant remember which file is the craked or original file

    on the crack that just i post out up is the no cd crack that works for bnet 2 in that rar inside r 4 file. the file named “War3TFT 121 NO-CD kenshin” is for the crack forr .bnet

    so like…i dl that crack giyshi and i copy paste it into my war3 folder…which already has previous cracks…now im just wondering why i still cant get in bnet west lol

    Well, I scanned and tested the crack, and it works.

    Easy instructions for using it:

    1) Open the archive (1.21nocd.rar)
    2) Go to your WC3 install folder (usually C:\Program Files\Warcraft III)
    3) Rename war3.exe to anything (like war32.exe or something)
    4) Rename worldedit.exe to anything (like worldedit2.exe)
    5) Extract(copy) the files War3.121, War3.exe, War3TFT 121 NO-CD kenshin.cmd, and worldedit.exe from the archive to your WC3 folder.
    6) To play the game on B.Net, run the file “War3TFT 121 NO-CD kenshin.cmd” and enjoy

    Actually, I’m using an online client similar to Hamachi to play Warcraft but it requires use of the War3.exe file. With this crack I can only run the Frozen Throne.exe file, the War3.exe file doesn’t run, does anyone have a patch that DOES run?

    “BrownDude”.. I tried to use your files.. It did not work for me. It kept telling me my cd was not in, and that was that… It would not open.
    I have had no luck so far.
    With the “kenshin” crack, I’ve at least gotten Wc3 tft to open, and run. I am having trouble getting onto battle.net…
    I get the version not verified, etc.. error.

    Hi Livae – I know it’s probably too late, but just rename the .cmd file to a .bat file.
    You can also copy the file and then replace “Frozen Throne.exe” references with “Warcraft III” to use it on the ROC version as well – works for me.

    I’m having the same problem as Ryu. I have the 570. Plz just plz I need this game so badly. My friends are waiting for me! Oh and how u change the org to the exe? I try renaming it. Do you do it like this? War3.exe (the file is org).

    Wait wait wait, this was all about getting Reign of Chaos working with a no-cd hack… I got it working, and that’s all fine and dandy. But Battle Net doesn’t run, but that’s cool. 1 Player is fun enough. But then you guys started going on about a way to get Battle Net to run… But what you guys didn’t catch onto was that you’re giving a way for Frozen Throne to work, not Reign of Chaos, which is what this topic was about in the first place. Now, if you guys wouldn’t mind helping me with getting Reign of Chaos fully fuctional with Battle Net working and all that, I’d appreciate the help. Not downinging the ones who helped the others, though, it’s good to see someone’s figuring stuff out. But anyways, Reign of Chaos, the original game, any ideas or links for a better No-CD hack?

    Uh ok is there a NEW link for getting a NO CD crack of Frozen Throne that works on battle.net??? The above are all gone already! If someone could please post one it’d be AMAZING. I can play 1-player and that’s it (have the CD-key, etc, just not a working disc drive).

    There has been an update by blizzard that allows you to play the game without using the CD.
