Red Box in Plymouth!

Red Box is now available in the local Hannaford grocery store in Plymouth, NH. Why is this exciting you ask? Well now you can queue up a new release to rent online (or in store) and pick it up without any human intervention when you go grocery shopping for a mere $1 per night! OK, so the no human interaction piece isn’t great, but it sure cuts down on lines. Since I cut out my Netflix subscription this actually seems like a nice alternative. This is basically a soda machine for DVD rentals. Very cool.

Apparently today is inappropriate and questionable content day at No Sheep, but anyway…
This video is a song and dance debate between two characters animated using the lush environments and interactivity in Word of Warcraft. Apparently Matt blogged this back in December, but I just watched it for the first time today on Google Video.
I’ve seen a pile of WoW videos, but none of them are anywhere near as funny as this one. The video makes the easy claim that the internet is for porn, which may be true, but Google Video and You Tube keep reminding me how good it is at entertainment.
Update: I just found out the song included in the video is from the Broadway musical Avenue Q which was a critically acclaimed comedy done all with puppets that clearly parody Sesame Street and The Muppets. Additionally, here are the lyrics for your enjoyment:

Channel 101: Chad Vader

Channel 101 claims they are “the unavoidable future of entertainment.” When I noticed them mentioned in the same article as Amanda Congdon, I was intrigued. I stumbled over to their site and immediately found some content that was exciting to my inner geek.
Oh yes, here is a parody that features Vader as an unrespected day time grocery store manager. There are currently two of these videos released and I’m hoping for more to come from Blame Society Productions. Since their release they’ve also been published on YouTube, so here they are for your enjoyment.
If this is the future of entertainment, I’m all in.

Second Spider-Man 3 Movie Teaser Poster

Above is the second Spider-Man 3 movie teaser poster. In many ways I think this new poster is cooler than the first, though not as surprising. I like the way the black seems to be invading from both sides, crowding out the red suit. This invasive nature is true to the original symbiote and I would venture to guess we’ll see the suit bring out a meaner streak in Peter Parker in this film. It certainly looked that way in a detailed look at the trailer.
Once again a small bit of information and detail about the film has me excited to see how it all plays out on May 5, 2007.

I love comics, and in turn look forward eagerly to comic book based movies. Efavata and ComicBookMovie.com are my favorite sites for the latest news and information about upcoming movies.
If you just want to know how they are coming with the next Spider-Man movie though, check out Spider-Man Movies.com
I’ll be the first to admit that not all comic book movies are good, for the worst of the worst, check out this E-Online article.
