Super Smash Brothers Brawl

Getting the bad news out of the way, the next generation Smash Brothers game will not be available until 2007. (On a lighter note related to this, both Zelda and Metroid are intended to be launch games)
Moving on, it will be called Super Smash Brothers Brawl and it looks phenomenal. A few new characters are being added including Pit from Kid Icarus, Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Wario, and some others.
As expected, it will be fully online playable, with many robust multiplayer options. Other than wanting the new Nintendo Wii based upon the excitement of new control opportunities, this is the first game that has me fully transfixed. I will own a Wii if for nothing else, the existence of this game.
OK, so Zelda, Wii Sports, Metroid 3, Sonic Wild Fire, Madden 07, Excite Truck, Super Mario Galaxy, Red Steel, Tony Hawk, and others have certainly got me pretty much transfixed…

I know the page loads are a bit slow right now, but they’ve been getting worse anyway. I’m going to add cacheing capability that should speed this up a lot . We’re up to over 1200 comments, I’m also thinking I may add paging. What are your thoughts about that?

Sadly, I’ve never gotten into any of the Pokemon games, so I couldn’t write anything particularly intelligent about it to get the ball rolling. (you can send it through the contact form linked at the top.)
In other news… I’m still trying to get paging to work effectively. That way performance will become workable. Primarily this site is a blog and not a forum, so the use case on this page is pushing the limits of the technology. Don’t get me wrong, I love that you guys find value in the discussion you are having here, and I’ll do everything possible to improve the technology to facilitate that.

I think I will still put paging in, but I’ll do like 100 comments per page, starting with the most recent. That should give you enough history on a single page, but also fix the performance issue

Diamond and Pearl come out tommorow, and I’m getting Pearl. But I can see primal arena’s point… Probobass’ cry sounds like someone ttrowing up and then drinking it through a straw… I also actually GET my Pearl Version tommorow, thank God. And SSBB will be out soon, because I saw it was almost done in the May edition of Nintendo Power. Well, the ENGLISH version, that is.
