Of course this does all rely on my getting a Wii… I have yet to succeed at securing a pre-order, my last hopes revolve on a long saturday leading up to a midnight launch sale…

Well… If you look around this site at all, you’ll see how huge a fan I am of all things Marvel. This is the one game I’d be buying no matter what. The sheer cast of characters makes it a no brainer for me. This one is a very personal sort of decision though.

Tony Hawk is a tough one. I want a racing game at launch. That could be Excite Truck. It could be NFS: Carbon. It could also be Tony Hawk since this is a downhill game leaving me with a vision of SSX meets Tony Hawk. That combination is undeniably alluring to me.

So… I can really only justify an initial purchase of three games. As I state Marvel Ultimate Alliance is set in stone, leaving two slots. In one of those slots needs to be a mini-game heavy title, enter Rayman or Monkey Ball. Both titles which have to be in my collection eventually. The third and final slot is as I said reserved for a racer. This leaves poor Zelda in the fourth slot and an FPS in fifth.

I have absolutely no doubt that I will own and play through Zelda. I may even buy it mid-week after launch day, who knows. It just can’t find a home in my 3 game purchase on launch day, sadly…

I’ve got to admit I’m truly gob-smacked that Zelda: Twilight Princess isn’t your most wanted title on Wii. Just out of curiosity what places it beneath seemingly mediocre titles such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam in your mind? :O
