I need to start out by saying I am a crazy insane KISS fan. I can’t explain it entirely, most of the population thinks their music is no good, but I like pretty much everything they ever did. This is why I have been out of control excited ever since I heard about A&E’s new series, Gene Simmons Family Jewels. In short, this is a new Osbournes with a different rock family at the center.
Gene Simmons is an odd character. The lead bassist known as “The Demon” of KISS has personality bubbling out of every orifice, potentially explaining him being well known for his success with the ladies. Anyway, I couldn’t ask for a better guy to have a reality show surrounding.
Simmons has been “happily unmarried” to Playboy playmate Shannon Tweed for many years. They have two teenage children together. Simmons has a unique way of marketing himself and the things he’s interested in. I can’t wait to see how things will turn out when the cameras are around all the time and things get out of control with the family. Zach – I’ve been axiously awaiting this show too! I heard about the idea when the Ozbournes first came out – not sure why it took a few years. On a different Kiss note, did you hear that KISS Army recently held a protest outside the Rock-n-Roll hall of fame? Go Kiss Army!
