First Nintendo Wii Commercial
// November 16th, 2006 // My Stuff
Nintendo is not allowing it to be embedded, but the advertisement is on YouTube. The basic premise is that two japanese men show up at a random person’s door and say “Wii wants to play”, they then come in and break out the fun. Apparently this is one of an initial set of four that will be released.
Update: Thanks to Justin for pointing this out, the official Wii site now has all four ads and the long version merging them into one.

This is yet another step in the right direction for Nintendo. With a host of mediocre and often cringe worthy adverts for the Gamecube, it appears as though they’re taking a leaf out of Sony’s influential marketing book and creating inventive, and intriguing adverts that appeal to a wide demographic. I’m counting on the Wii emulating the same, if not more, success than the phenomenally popular Nintendo DS.
My thoughts exactly.
There’s a longer version posted as well.
The longer version is a combination of all 4 commercials. You can find all 4 and the long version The official Wii site
