For months now I’ve been still using AIM “because everyone uses it”, but I don’t have to do what everyone else does now. I can happily use Google Talk to talk with anyone who uses whatever the heck IM network excites them.

heh, you can tell that desktop screen is from a few years ago. I still had aol installed for when I was at my parents house *shiver* and I had firebird (or maybe its pheonix?) at any rate old build of firefox.

This looks neat, but I'm still attached to AIM considering everyone I know uses it. There are ways to disable ads on AIM via third party software such as deadAim or if you are ambitious enough you can always resource hack it. A while ago I really went to town on modding it (also with blackbox 4 windows)
