Canon Rebel XTi
November 25, 2007
I finally got the digital SLR I’ve been desiring. In a sweet “black Friday” deal, I purchased the Canon Rebel XTi. This 10.1 megapixel camera came with 18-55mm lens and 75-300mm lenses. I also picked up a 2GB compact flash card to start with.
Now I need to get a ton of sweet accessories for additional fun: a camera bag, an extra battery, a wireless remote, a polarized filter, a separate “speedlite” flash, and more…
Hopefully I’ll have some cool pictures to share soon, though being the holiday season, I’ll primarily be taking family pictures initially.

Got something to say?

This is just my opinion, but it might have been a better choice to get the Rebel XTi and save up for better quality lenses such as a 17-40mm L and a 70-200 f/4 L. These two budget hi-end lenses would cost you near 1400 combined but are awesome. A canon prime lens like the 50mm f/1.4 or 35mm f/2.0 would be nice and cheap.
I hope that camera serves you well.
