Best Job in America

When CNN Money released their list of Best Jobs in America this week I was surprised/happy to see the top ten list.

  1. Software Engineer
  2. College professor
  3. Financial adviser
  4. Human Resources Manager
  5. Physician assistant
  6. Market research analyst
  7. Computer IT analyst
  8. Real Estate Appraiser
  9. Pharmacist
  10. Psychologist

I’ve marked three of the top ten in bold. In my current position, depending on the day, I could be considered in any of those three positions. Certainly the college professor is a slightly bigger stretch, but I have taught at Plymouth State and working in higher education find myself often overseeing student projects.

Over the last few years I’ve been very happy with my position and what my job entails. Some people have thought I was a bit strange for liking my job so much. However, when I consider that I have a blend of three out of the top ten best jobs, I feel fully justified.
