Aquaman Will Save Me T-Shirt

Keith Derosby sent me along this CafePress site featuring an Aquaman T-Shirt. The writing on the shirt is shown in the image: “I fear nothing since I know Aquaman is out there to save me.” This is just plain wonderful.
At first glance you think, wow, an Aquaman fan, what are they thinking? Then it hits you, this is ironic! Aquaman can’t save anybody — he’s lame!, this shirt is a comic fan’s inside joke about Aquaman. You’d wear this shirt and hope some idiot walked up to you and revealed their lack of cool by claiming a similar liking for Aquaman. You could then use that opportunity to point, laugh, and berate them about their complete lack of understanding about what in fact makes a super hero awesome. This rules.
Though I do wonder why Keith provides me with such fodder against his beloved super hero…

What are you going to do when Aquaman actually DOES save the world? Then all you doubters are going to be in for it.
I never thought there would be a day when Keith’s secret man crush would be revealed on the Internet. (By the way, he also has a thing for Hawkman).
For some reason, Keith always enjoyed his beloved Aquaman. At first I thought it was because Aquaman protected those that couldn’t protect themselves. But every superhero does that. Soon enough, the real reason came to me.(conspiracy theory)
Everyone makes fun of Aquaman. If that is the case, Aquaman must know it. So when the Super Friends decide to protect the world, they send Aquaman to protect the waters. Now, who decides to attack the ocean or its living creatures except poachers and night fishermen. As Superman protects Metropolis against Luthor and Batman saves Gotham from the evils of the Joker, Penguin, Clayface, and Catwoman, Aquaman protects the waters from Larry the night fisherman. Who has the good deal here? Aquaman is clever. He doesn’t get in harms way and never has to worry about being captured. The only thing he has to do is to make sure they release a “classic figure” of him every few years so that people like us say, “Hey, I remember Aquaman”.
So is Aquaman a loser or just the most clever super hero ever? You decide.
