Marvel Civil War Continues?!?

IGN posted this image today with a gigantic veil of secrecy. It’s drawn by Marko Djurdjevic, perhaps the hottest cover artist at Marvel right now… As soon as I looked him up, I realized he is the artist responsible for nearly every painted cover I’ve been in love with since December.
Anyway, from left to right this image includes: Sentinels, Cable, Wolverine, Thing, unknown #1, Ms Marvel, Cloak (without Dagger, WTF?), Captain America (who’s in the suit?), Iron Man, Thor, Hercules, Yellowjacket, unknown #2. I think I should know unknown #1. IGN makes a big deal about who unknown #2 is (the dude in the top right corner). If we knew who was writing this, we might be able to make a better guess. A Marvel.com article makes me wonder if this is Vulcan, but that’s a serious shot in the dark.
Many knock Civil War, but I haven’t felt the passion since that series ended. This has the potential to make me dig in with some serious Marvel induced excitement. Is this a one-shot? A new series? An alternate universe? What does it mean?!? I can’t wait to find out.

Metroid Prime: Corruption - TV Ad

Metroid Prime: Corruption is available for the Wii starting tomorrow in the US. IGN is giving it a 9.5, Gamespot gives it an 8.5. I’m very excited about seeing it in action. I’m anticipating Mario Galaxy, Guitar Hero and Smash Brothers more though…

Spectacular Spider-Man Animated Series!

No shock, but this is an extremely exciting announcement for me. In the video we only see Spider-Man as a whole, but there are snippets of a few other classic villains shown in this order: Doc Ock, Lizard or Scorpion, Electro, Goblin, Vulture, Sandman and Venom.
This will be arriving sometime in 2008!

Kristen Bell Joins Heroes as Elle

Kristen Bell, star from the amazing yet canceled Veronica Mars, will be staring in a few Heroes episodes this fall! Bell will play Elle a “mysterious young lady with ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.’s past and the future of Claire. Elle makes her mark right away, by committing a serious crime.” It is unclear yet if she will be a good or evil character, as is often the case with Heroes ensemble cast of characters.
Bell’s portrayal of the young detective Veronica Mars for three seasons on UPN/CW sky rocketed that show to the top of my must see show list. I’m insanely excited to see her joining my favorite remaining show this season.

Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat

Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat is an award winning spicy wheat beer. When enjoyed in my weizen glass the natural coriander and citrus flavors are very strong and enjoyable. This beer is brewed by the J. Leinenkugel Brewing Company in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. The brewery dated back to 1867 through five generations of family ownership.
I highly recommend this beer. I wish I could get a hold of more from the Leinenkugel Brewing Company like the Apple Spice, Summer Shandy, Honey Weiss, Berry Weiss, Red, Creamy Dark, or the Bigg-Butt Dopplebock! Unfortunately Sunset Wheat is the only beer I can enjoy from them in my area.

Grayson

A fan written script about a post Batman era Dick Grayson led to the creation of this trailer. The trailer is a bit long and pretty much tells the overall scope of the story. Batman is gone, but villains rise up again in his absence. Grayson re-dons the guise of Robin to fight crime in Gotham City once more. Cameo appearances come from Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, Batgirl and more.
In watching the trailer it’s obviously amateur in it’s portrayal of nearly the whole of the story in a fully linear manner. Trailers need to make you want to find out what happens and get excited about potential, I feel like I know way too much after watching this, but of course this can be forgiven as it seems unlikely this film will ever be produced in it’s entirety anyway… I didn’t read the script, so I’d hope it’s development is a touch more mature. I want to want more from this, but don’t…
I can partially understand the appeal of this as a popular internet phenomenon, it is good in a generally poor area of fan created action/adventure films.
